Heads of Central Bank of Armenia and People's Bank of China sign cooperation agreement
Arminfo. Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) Arthur Javadyan met in Beijing with Governor Zhou Xiaochuan of the People's Bank of China (PBC), 27 March.
As press-service of CBA reported, the interlocutors discussed the avenues for the development and deepening of cooperation between the two countries in the banking sector.
Along the lines of Javadyan's visit to China, a cooperation agreement between the CBA and the PBC was official signed, too. Armenia's Ambassador to China, Armen Sargsyan, was present at the event.
According to the data of Armenian National Statistics Service, the volume of commodity circulation between Armenia and China for Jan-Feb 2014 amounted to $72.6, by 24,3% more than in Jan-Feb 2013, in particular, export - $15.5 mln - by 4,2 times more and import - $57.1 mln - by 4,3% more than in Jan-Feb 2013.
