Customer base of Armenian banks up 0.2% in Jan 2014


ArmInfo. By 1 Feb 2014, the customer base of the Armenian banking system numbered 1,827,350 individuals and 75,679 legal entities. The National Statistical Service of Armenia reports that a total of 1,903,029 customers had 3,218,162 accounts in the Armenian banks, of which 3,052,646 were individuals' accounts and 165,516 were legal entities' accounts.

The source says that as compared with December 2013, the customer base of Armenian banks grew by 0.2% or by 3,825 customers (up 17.5% or 283,585 customers as compared with Jan 2013). In January 2014 the number of accounts in the banks was up 0.5% (up 64.5% versus Jan 2013).
