In Apr 2014 deposit rates grew to 8.8%, while credit rates dropped to 13.8%
ArmInfo. In Apr 2014 as compared with Mar 2014 deposit rates in Armenia grew by 0.3% to 8.8%. As compared with Apr 2013 they grew by 0.2%. In the meantime, credit rates dropped by 0.4% and 0.3%, respectively, to 13.8%. As a result, the margin dropped by 1% to 5%.
According to the Central Bank of Armenia, AMD deposit rates grew by 0.5% as compared with both Mar 2014 and Apr 2013 to 11%, while USD deposit rates grew by just 0.1% in Apr 2014 to 6.7% with no change as compared with Apr 2013.
In Apr 2014 as compared with Mar 2014 USD credit rates dropped by 0.7% to 12.2%, with AMD credit rates having dropped 0.2%. As compared with Apr 2013 the rates dropped by 0.7% and grew by 0.1%, respectively.
Short-term deposit rates grew by 0.3% for both the month and the year to 8.2%, while long-term deposit rates grew by 0.3% for the month and dropped by 1.1% for the year to 8.2%. Short-term credit rates dropped by 0.2% in Apr 2014 and by 0.5% as compared with Apr 2013 to 14.5%, while long-term credit rates grew by 0.1% and dropped by 0.5%, respectively, to 12.1%.
