As of May 1 2014 Armenian banks lent economy 8.9% more than a year before
ArmInfo. As of May 1 2014 Armenian banks lent the economy a total of 1.3tln AMD (70.2% of all loans), which is 8.9% more than on May 1 2013 and 0.9% more than on Apr 1 2014.
The Central Bank of Armenia reports that trade received the biggest part of the loans - 346.4bln AMD (174.6bln AMD for wholesale and 156bln AMD for retail), which is 3.9% more than on May 1 2013 and 0.5% more than on Apr 1.
Processing received 180bln AMD (58bln AMD for food industry, 37.9bln AMD for drink production), which is 6.9% more than on May 1 2013 and 3.9% more than on Apr 1 2014.
Agriculture was lent 132.9bln AMD (15.8% and 2.5% respective growths), power engineering and gas supply 131.1bln AMD (9.5% and 1.4% respective growths), construction 112.7bln AMD (8.9% growth as compared with May 1 2013 and 0.5% drop as compared with Apr 1 2014).
The financial sector received 87.9bln AMD (43.2bln AMD in inter-bank loans, 24bln AMD for investment companies, 10.5bln AMD for credit companies and 6.2bln AMD for insurance companies), which is 1.7% more than on May 1 2013 and 7.6% less than on Apr 1 2014.
