Russian expert: Armenia should stop relying on Russia as source of financing
ArmInfo. As soon as Armenia joins the Eurasian Economic Union, it will be able to avoid the effects of the anti-Russian sanctions - for as an independent state it will be able to apply to any sources, Russian expert Vasily Solodkov told ArmInfo during an international banking conference in Yerevan on Thursday.
He said that Armenia is losing its sources in Russia. "The sanctions are just starting to cause their negative effects but it is already clear that Armenia should stop relying on Russia as a source of financing," Solodkov said.
Concerning the possibility of a common currency in the Eurasian area, the expert said that this problem was first discussed in the early 1990s but nothing specific has been done so far.
