Mass Media: President of Armenia bans export of dollars


ArmInfo. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has banned import of dollars from the country, a local newspaper "Hraparak" writes. According to the paper, the participants in the parliament meeting on the financial situation behind the closed doors on 17 December met with President Sargsyan.

The president, who was just back from Nagorny Karabakh, was outraged at the financial situation and charged the heads of relevant departments to stabilize the situation.

"Foreign currency must not be exported from Armenia," the president demanded.
