World Bank's investments in the construction sector of Armenia in Q1 2015 made 1.5 bln AMD (3.2 mln USD) or 51.2% of total international loans provided to the construction sector of Armenia for the period under review - 3 bln AMD (6.2 mln USD). WB's investments in the sector grew 2.1-fold yoy. Within Q1 2015 European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provided 477.4 million AMD loans (more than 1 mln USD) or 16,1% of total international loans. Asian Development Bank invested 472.2 mln AMD (989 thsd USD) in capital construction in Armenia with a 3,8 -fold yoy growth. KfW provided 29.4 mln AMD (62 thsd USD) loans with a 22.8% yoy fall. By data of the Armenian National Statistical Service, capital investments in construction sector for Q1 2015 totaled 42.5 bln AMD (89.1 mln USD), with a 0.8% yoy growth. The construction and assembly accounted for 36.5 bln AMD of total capital construction (a 1.1% yoy growth).
By data of the Armenian National Statistical Service, in Q1 2015 the state budget invested 5.8 bln AMD (12.2 mln USD with a 12.3% yoy growth) in construction sector or 13.7% of total capital construction costs. In Jan-Mar 2015 developer companies provided 12.3 bln AMD with a 6.8% yoy growth or 30% of total investments in the sector in Armenia. The population spent 10.7 bln AMD (22.4 mln USD with a 9.9% yoy fall) or 25.1% of total investments in the field. Hayastan All Armenian Fund provided 44.5 mln AMD or 0.1% of total investments. The organizations have provided 21.8 mln AMD (45.6 mln USD) with a 0.7% yoy fall or 51.2% of total investments in the sector in Armenia.
The energy and gas supply sector provided over 3.9 bln AMD with a 17.8% yoy growth ($8.1mln, approximately 9,1%), transport sector - 2.7 bln AMD with a 11.1% yoy fall (app. $5.6 mln, 6,3%), water supply sector - 3.2 bln drams (7.6%), mining industry - 1.9 bln drams ($3.9 mln, 4,4%), healthcare sector - 697.7 mln drams. culture sector - 840 mln drams, and agricultural sector - 568.8 mln drams. The financial sector provided 159 mln drams ($333 thsd, 0,4%) construction loans with a 48.9% yoy fall.
The average market exchange rate of USD/AMD for Jan-Mar 2015 was 477.26 drams/US$1, and 477.65 AMD/1 USD for Mar alone.
