Share of Overdue in Loan Portfolio of Armenian Banking System Totaled 2% with 45% y-o-y Growth

 As of May 1, 2015 the amount of overdue loans in the Armenian banking system totaled 40.2 bln AMD with 45% y-o-y growth or 2% in the total of loan portfolio.  By the data of National Statistics Service RA, the index growth totaled 8.2% in April. 

The share of extended loans totaled 6% or 125 bln AMD (with 6.1% fall in April and 23.4% y-o-y growth) in the total of bank loans.

The vast majority is accounted for short-term loans in the overdue loans portfolio - 66.1 or 26.6 bln AMD.  The long-term loans totaled 33.9% or 13.6 bln AMD. The situation of the extended loans portfolio is the following - long-term - 68.3% or 85.4 bln AMD; short-term loans - 31.7% or 39.6 bln AMD.

As of May 1, 2015 the aggregate of loan investments totaled 2.077 trn AMD with 12.8% y-o-y growth and 0.8% growth in April. The share of long-term loans totaled 84.2%, while short-term ones totaled 15.8% in the structure of loan portfolio of banks (without the extended and overdue laons).  The exchange rate of AMD/USD for April 30 2015 was 476.42AMD/$1USD.
