
ArmInfo. Russian company Rosneft acquired 100% share of Armenian company Petrol Market. The deal totaled 40 mln USD, according to the information of Rosneft published today. The deal was closed in August 2015. It is noted that the Armenian company owns a small chain of filling stations and a petroleum tank farm.
To note, Rosneft is a supplier of Russian petroleum products to Armenia. In 2015 Russia's supply of gasoline to Armenia totals 136.2 thousand tons, from which 120 thousand tons of Russian production. Armenia does not pay customs duty for the gasoline. This year Armenia will also receive 150 thousand tons of diesel oil all of Russian production, 47 thousand tons of jet engine fuel and 29,2 thousand tons of oil tar. The supplies will last till December 31, 2015.
Earlier, as part of his visit to Armenia the company's President Igor Sechin and General Director of L.L.C. Rosneft-Armenia Artur Alaverdyan signed a contract for oil- products deliveries to Armenia within the framework of the joint venture, - L.L.C. Rosneft-Armenia - created on the 10th of December 2013 between Rosneft and its Armenian partner Oil Techno. With the purpose of further deepening presence in the marketing value chain the companies started studying acquisition of assets in the sphere of wholesale and retail trade of oil-products, including oil-product storage capacities and an aircraft refueling business.
