Nominal monthly wage in Armenia increased by 7.7% and salaries of state employees showed main growth

ArmInfo. Nominal monthly wage in Armenia increased by 7.7% in Jan-Dec 2015 compared to the same period of 2014 totaling 184441 (386 USD). In December alone this indicator increased by 22.2%.

According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Service of Armenia, monthly wage in state-funded organizations in Jan-Dec 2015 compared to Jan-Dec 2014 increased by 8.2% to 163936 AMD (343 USD).  At the same time in non-state funded organizations the salary increased by 7% in Jan-Dec 2015 totaling 213016 AMD (446 USD). In December alone monthly wage of state employees increased by 21.1% amid growth of non state employees' salary by 23.3%.

To note for comparison, that nominal monthly wage in Armenia in Jan-Dec 2014 compared to the same period of 2013 increased by 7.6% totaling 171120 AMD (411 USD). In December alone this indicator increased by 22%. Salary in state-funded organizations increased by 7.4% to 150809 AMD (363 USD) in Jan-Dec 2014 versus Jan-Dec 2013. At the same time salary of non-state funded organizations in Jan-Dec increased by 7.7% totaling 199711 AMD (480 USD).  Average exchange rate of AMD totaled 477.92 AMD/$1 in Jan-Dec 2015 and in Dec alone -482.93 AMD/$1. A year before, in 2014 average exchange rate of AMD was significantly lower: in Jan-Dec 415.92 AMD/$1, in December alone-405.32 AMD/$1.
