Gazprom: In 2015 Gazprom supplied Armenia with 1,921 bln cu m of gas

ArmInfo. In 2015 Gazprom supplied Armenia with as much as 1,921 bln cu m of gas, the company's quarterly report says.

According to the document, in 2015 the supplies to the post-Soviet countries (Russia exclusive) totaled 37,579 bln cu m of natural gas, 16.22% less than in 2014 (44,857 bln cu m). In particular, Gazprom supplied 7,827 bln cu m of gas to Ukraine (versus 14,455 bln in 2014); 18.79 bln cu m to Belarus (the largest amount), 2,925 bln cu m to Moldova, 2,203 bln cu m to Lithuania, 1,329 bln cu m to Latvia, 1,678 bln cu m to Kazakhstan. As regards the other countries of the former USSR (Estonia, South Ossetia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan), the gas supplies did not exceed 1 bln cu m.

To recall, according to the indicative balance for 2015 approved in compliance with the 2 Dec 2013 Armenian-Russian Intergovernmental Agreement, Russia was to supply Armenia with duty-free 2 bln cu m of natural gas for $165 per 1,000 cu m. The agreement was valid till 31 Dec 2015. At the moment the Armenian government is holding negotiations to reduce the Russian natural gas price for Armenia.
