
ArmInfo. European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the fifth year in a row announces ARARATBANK the most active bank-issuer of Armenia within its Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP) Award 2015. Nick Tesseyman, the Managing Director for Financial Institutions at the EBRD handed the award to Ashot Osipyan, chairman of the executive board of ARARATBANK OJSC, during the EBRD meeting in London.
Osipyan emphasizing the importance of long-term cooperation between ARARATBANK and EBRD noted that in conditions of high competition on the market of banking services receiving such award testifies to the development of the bank in right direction as well as compliance of the provided services to the requirements of such a high ranking structure as EBRD.
Since 2007 ARARATBANK in the framework of cooperation with EBRD has been providing its clients services of trade financing, particularly documentary letters of credit and guarantees on import and export oriented operations.
To recall, ARARATBANK was recognized as the best Armenian finance trade provider in 2015 according to Global Finance authoritative magazine. As a result this is already the third organization after Commerzbank and EBRD, which names ARARATBANK as the best finance trade bank of Armenia.
According to the Financial Rating of Armenian Banks prepared by ArmInfo News Agency, ARARATBANK'S assets totaled 132.6 bln AMD as of January 1, 2016. In the structure of assets, the credit exposures and other loans made up 66.1 bln AMD. The Bank's total liabilities amounted to 109.6 bln AMD, from which time deposits and call liabilities totaled 57.6 bln. The total capital reached 22.5 bln AMD as of January 1, 2016, from which accumulated profit amounted to 12.8 bln AMD and registered fund-8.3 bln AMD. At year-end 2015 ARARATBANK's balance profit totaled 1.3 bln AMD.
