Minister: Armenia is ready to cooperate with Brazil in agriculture sector

ArmInfo. Armenia is ready to  cooperate with Brazil in the field of agriculture, Armenia's  Agriculture Minister Ignatiy Arakelyan stated at the meeting with  Brazilian delegation headed by Brazil's Deputy Minister of  Agriculture, Livestock and Supply Eumar Novacki.

According to the Minister Armenia is interested in bilateral  activation of investment framework and is ready to provide assistance  to all the entrepreneurs and organizations, which will show interest.  "Armenia can cooperate with Brazil in various fields of agriculture  and we are ready to discuss with our Brazilian partners any  investment proposal", the Minister noted. He expressed hope that the  memorandum of understanding signed between the two countries in  August 2016 will give impetus to development of bilateral cooperation  in the field of agriculture, which in turn will lead to mutual growth  of agricultural production.

Eumar Novacki in turn stressed that Brazilian entrepreneurs express  big interest in establishing business ties and expanding cooperation  in the field of agriculture, however lack of information hinders  wide-scale cooperation. In order to solve this issue the sides  decided to hold mutual visits of specialists from various fields  aimed at experience exchange.

In this context Ignatiy Arakelyan stressed the importance of  organizing consultations and trainings for Armenian specialists.

The interlocutors discussed opportunities for creating  Armenian-Brazilian joint enterprises in the field of agriculture. The  Brazilian side proposed to organize a visit of a group of Armenian  agrarian experts to Brazil.
