VTB Bank (Armenia) is the 2nd among Armenian banks by amount of paid taxes

VTB Bank (Armenia) is the 2nd among Armenian banks by amount of paid  taxes

ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) is  the 2nd among Armenian banks by amount of paid taxes and 27th among  the largest taxpayers of the country. To note for comparison that in  the same period of previous year the bank held the 3rd position among  commercial banks. The press- service of the bank has told ArmInfo  referring to the data published by State Revenues Committee that for  9 months of 2016 the bank paid more than 2.8 bln drams to the state  budget. 

According to the source, all the commercial banks operating in  Armenia are in the list of the 1000 largest taxpayers, the share of  the banks is 5.3% of the total  amount of taxes paid in the reported  period. In overall the 1000 largest taxpayers paid 525 bln drams to  the state budget in the mentioned period of 2016.

According to the State Revenues Committee of Armenia the top-5  Armenian taxpayer banks are Ameriabank, VTB Bank (Armenia),  ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, Ardshinbank and Armbusinessbank, which  have paid taxes amounted to 14bln drams in 9 months of 2016 (with  13.3% y-o-y decline), 12.7 bln of which are income taxes and profit  taxes (16% y-o-y decline). 

According to the Ranking of Armenian Banks prepared by ArmInfo,  accumulated profit of Armenia's banking system totaled 154.6 bln  drams by October 1 2016 with y-o-y decline by 5%. For 9 months of  2016 the banking system ensured 16.4 bln drams of net profit with  24.7% y-o-y growth.
