Armenia and Iran discuss prospects of promotion of cooperation in transport, communication, IT and nanotechnologies

ArmInfo. On November 30,  Armenian Minister of Transport, Communication and Information  Technologies Vahan Martirosyan, Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyed  Kazem Sajari and Head of Iran Nanotechnology Initiative Council  (INIC), Professor Saeid Sarkar discussed the prospects of promotion  of cooperation. 

As the Armenian Ministry's press office has told ArmInfo that during  the meeting Martirosyan said that he gives high priority to the  cooperation with Iran in transport and communication. The minister  expressed hope for formation and strengthening of relations in IT as  well. 

Saeid Sarkar presented Iran's achievements in nanotechnologies. He  spoke of serious prospects of cooperation between Armenia and Iran in  that field.  

Minister Martirosyan pointed out that Armenia is planning to build an  engineering town, where various well-known international companies  will be represented. He also offered the Iranian side to participate  in the project.   

To recall, on 24 June 2015, the meeting of the IT Development Support  Council presented the National Instruments' project on construction  of an engineering town in Jrvezh district of Yerevan. The project  will contribute to quantitative and qualitative growth of the startup  IT companies. The project envisages creation of up-to-date  infrastructures to boost investments in engineering and provision of  complex technological solutions on the local and international  markets.
