Converse Bank puts on virtual cards - Visa Virtual Account - to its clients who prefer online shopping

ArmInfo. Converse Bank puts  on Visa Card of a new generation - Visa Virtual Account, which gives  an opportunity to make online shopping and payments, avoiding the  risks connected with plastic cards, as well as releasing the  purchaser from the necessity of having a plastic card. 

As the bank's press-service told ArmInfo, the service fee for three  years is just AMD 1000. Those who prefer Visa Virtual Account,  instead of a physical card will get an online account and card  details. The card has a daily usage limit, which the client can  change to reduce the risks.

According to the source, the virtual card Visa Virtual Account can be  managed via internet banking, making transfers, viewing flows and  balances. To view the concluded transactions and the balance online,  the card details can be recorded also in Arca.am system. Visa Virtual  Account can be ordered in AMD, USD, EURO, and RF ruble. 

According to ArmInfo's "Armenian Banks in Card Business" Analytical  Review, Converse Bank is in TOP- 5 both by the total number of active  cards and Visa cards. By October 1 2016 the bank increased Visa card  number by 15.3% y-o-y to 44.3thsd. In total amount of active cards of  the bank, Visa Cards share is 33%.  The amount of plastic  transactions by Visa Cards increased by 14.8% y-o-y and totaled  almost 147.7bln drams, up from the 3rd to the 2nd position. As of  October 1 2016 the bank had 101 ATMs and 572 own POS-terminals, the  number of which has grown y-o-y by 8.6% and 27.4% respectively.  Converse Bank releases and maintains a service for Visa and  MasterCard along with local ArCa card.
