Armenian wine had an unprecedented success in the prestigious  international competition Mundus Vini International Wine

ArmInfo. Armenian wine had an  unprecedented success in the prestigious international competition  Mundus Vini International Wine in Neustadt (Germany). The Fund  Winegrowers and Winemakers of Armenia informed ArmInfo.

According to the contest results, Armenian wines won 23 medals - 10  gold and 13 silver. By the number of medals won, Armenian wine  surpassed production in countries such as Georgia, Moldova,  Macedonia, Romania and China. Thus, the number of medals of Armenia  is in the horizontal position on a par with New Zealand and Hungary  (14th  rank).

Contest MUNDUS VINI is held since 2001 and is considered one of the  most prestigious competitions in the world. This year in the  competition to the  jury from 100 respected experts from different countries, 58 kinds of  wine were presented. The wines were evaluated on a 100-point scale,  in which basis laid such indicators as the color of the wine, smell,  taste, and compliance with established standards. The contest was  attended by 19 Armenian companies, including plant "ARMENIA WINE",  "Artashat Vinkon", "Anush", "Kataro", "Golden Grape Armas",  "Getnatun" Highland Sellars, "Koor" Edvag Group " "365 wines", "Old  Bridge", "Tieras de Armenia", LLC "Getnatun", "Maran" and others.  Participation of Armenian wine-makers in the event was made possible  thanks to the assistance from the Fund of winegrowers and winemakers  of Armenia and the Foundation for the Promotion of imports from  developed countries (CBI).
