Russians are ready to pay 1000 EUR for rest in Armenia

ArmInfo. Russians are ready to  spend more than 50 thousand RUR (1000 EUR) on May holidays in  Armenia. The analysts of online lending service MoneyMan. 

According to MoneyMan, Russians are going to spend May holidays in  Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Baltic states and also in Czech Republic,  Italy, Cote d'Azur and in French Disneyland, the Rossiyskaya Gazeta  reads. According to Liberty TourAgency Olga Svechkova, the company  expects an increase of volume of trades by 20% by the results of May  holidays. 

Earlier, the Chairman of State Committee for Tourism of the Ministry  of Economic Development and Investment of the Republic of Armenia  Zarmine Zeytuntsyan, informed that Armenia, due to its permission for  Russians to enter the state by inner passports, hopes to increase the  number of tourists from Russia by 30-50% in 2017.

"In 2017, we, as you know, gave permission for Russians to enter the  state without foreign passports, about 70% of Russians do not have  foreign passports, that is why we wanted to attract at least 10% of  them to Armenia. I hope the tourist flow will increase by 30-50%" she  said, noting that tourists from Russia occupy the first place by  indicator of visitors. According to the data, in 2016, more than 450  thousand tourists from Russia visited Armenia." she added.

Zeytuntsyan noted that Armenia is ready to offer sightseeing, nature,  mountain, horse tourism, cousin, wine and skiing tourism.  "Everybody  speak Russian. And besides, Armenia is a safe country", she said,  noting that Russians for Armenians are not tourists but gests and  friends.  

The Russian citizens will be able to visit Armenia by domestic  passports since February 23.
