ArmInfo. Armenia is one of traditional partners of Stavropol Region. In 2016, the foreign trade turnover between the region and the Republic of Armenia formed about USD 19 mln ( USD 14, 2 mln of which ids the export of products and USD 4,8 mln is the import to Stavropol region. This was stated by Vladimir Vladimirov, the Governor of Stavropol Region, during his conversation with Vardan Asoyan, the Council general of the Republic of Armenia in Southern Federal District of Russian Federation.
"I think we have all the necessary resources to essentially increase this volume. Within the ban implementation the economy of Stavropol region develops with loco speed, the agricultural production volumes increase, the processing industries temps grow as well and form 22% per annum. We successfully implement all the tasks in respect to filling the internal market, and at the same time we are ready to increase the export, including Armenia," Vladimir Vladimirov said.
In his turn, Armenian Council general at Stavropol region mentioned the friendly relations formed between different nations representatives at the territory of Stavropol Region. He mentioned that Stavropol Region authorities do every possible to secure the conditions for keeping the national identity of Armenians. According to Vardan Asoyan, Armenian business representatives have a number of business proposals in respect to development of further economic cooperation with Stavropol region.
