The volume of cargo transportations in Armenia in January-April of 2017 grew for 71,6% in annual view within the dropdown of passenger carriage decrease for 5,2%

The volume of cargo transportations in Armenia in January-April of  2017  grew for 71,6% in annual view within the dropdown of passenger  carriage decrease for 5,2%

ArmInfo. The cargo  transportations volume in Armenia in January- April of 2017 versus  the same period of last year increased for 71,6% - up to 8 243,4  tons. 6 659,9 thopusand  tons (80,8% of total volume) us the share of  vehicle transportations, with the annual growth for 94,2%. This is  stated by Armenian National statistics service data. 

According to the statistics data, the railway cargo transportations  for the  reported period  grew  for 8,6 % - up to 871.9 thousand  tons. Air transportation grew also  - for 82,1% - up to 7,1 thousand  tons. About 704.5 thousand tons of natural gas was delivered by the  general pipeline, which is 24,1% more versus the indicator for the  similar period of last year. The cargo turnover increased for 20% -  up to 1 541.4 mln tons/km. 

Passengers transportations for the period mentioned decreased for  5,2% - down to 64 300.9 thousand people, within the 0,2 anual drop  down a year before. Within the decrease of automobile transportations  for 5,6% -  down to 57 148,2 persons, railway transportations - for  4,3% - down to 94,4  thousand persons, electric vehicles  transportations  - for 4,3% down to 6 389,7 thousand persons, the air  transportations invreased for 28,84% up to 668,6 thousand persons.  The passenger turnover decreased for 0,8% - down to 820,3 mln  persons/km.
