ArmInfo. The head of the General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia (GDCA) Sergey Avetisyan met with the representatives of the American aircraft building company Piper, discussing the possibilities of cooperation.
As the press service of the GDCA informed ArmInfo, Piper's deputy director for sales Drew Makivan, Piper's official representative in the CIS countries and the SIM airline director Simon Mnoyan participated in this meeting.
According to the source, the parties touched upon issues related to the training of amateur pilots, the development of an educational program for conducting courses at the aviation training center of the GDCA and others.
Welcoming the partners' readiness for possible cooperation in implementing the program, Avetisyan offered his assistance.
To note, the company Piper - the American company-manufacturer of general-purpose aircraft. From 1927 to 2010, the company produced 144,000 units of airplanes more than 160 different models, 90,000 of which are flying now.
