In Armenia, power energy procession in Jan-May 2017 increased by 4.6% annually

ArmInfo. In Jan-May, 2017, Armenia produced 3 239.3 million kWh energy, with an annual growth by 4.6%. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, in May alone, energy procession fell by 2.9% to 560.5 million kWh.

In Jan-May 2017 TPPs increased energy procession by 39% per annum - up to 1,165.9 million kWh. At the same time, HPPs reduced energy procession by 5.9% - up to 933 million kWh. During the reporting period, Armenian NPP produced 1,139.3 million kWh of energy(with an annual decline of 10%). During the reporting period, 64.32 thousand Gigajoules of thermal energy were produced, with an annual growth of 25.1%. Wind power plants produced 1.1 million kWh of energy in the reporting period, exceeding previous year's extent by 22.2%.
