The Trade and Industry Forum "ARMENIA EXPO 2017" is a good occasion for the participating countries to present their opportunities, share their achievements in the economy and gain new commercial contacts. This was stated by the Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia Igor Nazaruk at the opening of the 17th universal regional trade and industrial forum "ARMENIA EXPO 2017" on September 8 in Yerevan.
According to the ambassador, it is especially gratifying that the geography and the number of participants of the Expo are expanding year by year. "Our countries, together with Russian partners and other members of the Eurasian Union, are making every effort to activate the unified industrial policy, one of the goals of the current event is precisely this process," Igor Nazaruk said.
It should be noted that according to the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission, throughout the first half of 2017, there has been an increase in mutual and foreign trade in goods in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC). So, in comparison with the same period of 2016, the volume of foreign trade grew by 27.8% (by $ 63.5 billion). The volume of exports of goods increased by 29.6% ($ 41.6 billion), imports- by 24.9% ($ 21.9 billion). The positive balance of foreign trade in goods increased from 52.1 billion dollars in January - June 2016 to 71.8 billion dollars in January - June 2017. The volume of mutual trade of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union in January-June of 2017 increased by 27% (by $ 5.3 billion) in comparison with January-June 2016. Most significantly - 1.6 times (by $ 1.2 billion) - increased mutual trade in metals and products from them. The mutual trade in machinery, equipment and transport increased by 36.5% ($ 1.1 billion), foodstuffs and agricultural raw materials by 22.7% ($ 730 million), mineral products - by 18.6% % ($ 1.1 billion). The volume of mutual trade of the Eurasian Economic
Union in January-June 2017 amounted to 25.1 billion dollars. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Belarus in the first half of 2017 was $ 19 million, with an annual growth of 37.4%. In particular, imports increased by 66.9% to $ 15.8 million, with a 27% drop in exports to $ 3.2 million.
On September 8, the 17th universal regional trade and industrial forum "ARMENIA EXPO 2017" was opened in Yerevan. Organized byevents were made by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Armenia and LOGOS EXPO Center. Every year the exhibition gathers on a single site the largest domestic producers, entrepreneurs in the field of industry, giving them the opportunity to present their products with dignity and the most effective way. This year more than 120 companies from 9 countries of the world participate in the exhibition forum: the Republic of Armenia, the Russian Federation, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Belarus, the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Republic of India. Expected area of exposure is 1000 m2. The exhibition presents products of heavy, light and food industries, mining metallurgical and chemical industries, machine tools, stone and wood processing, jewelry, instrumentation, electronics.
