ArmInfo. The timetable for the flights of the Turkmenhovayollary Service (Turkmen Airlines) is supplemented by another international route - Ashgabat-Yerevan-Ashgabat, which connected the capitals of Turkmenistan and Armenia, the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Armenia reports.
As already reported, the opening of this direct air communication was discussed during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Armenia in August this year. The current implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level in the shortest possible time demonstrates the commitment of both sides to the effective use of the existing potential for enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation.
With the opening of the Ashgabat-Yerevan direct flight, the national carrier of Turkmenistan has increased its transport and transit potential in the direction of the Caucasus region. The formation of a ramified route network is continuing and soon new regional and interregional lines will be included in it.
