Suren Karayan and Zhenis Kasymbek sign protocol of intergovernmental agreement

ArmInfo. Following the  results of the seventh meeting of the Armenian-Kazakh  intergovernmental commission, a protocol was signed. Co-chairmen of  the commission put their signature on the document: from Armenia -  Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan, from  Kazakhstan - Minister of Investments and Development Zhenis Kasimbek.

According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Economic  Development and Investments, the co- chairs also held a separate  conversation, during which the prospects for cooperation were  discussed. They stressed the need to stimulate cooperation in  promising areas. The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that  following the results of the previous meeting of the  intergovernmental commission, certain work was continued to develop  the Armenian-Kazakh trade and economic relations.  The protocol  recorded the readiness of the parties to continue the process of  development of trade and economic cooperation, including by  exchanging information on the name of goods produced in Armenia and  Kazakhstan intended for export supplies. The Armenian side informed  about the GSP + preferential systems provided by the European Union,  American, Canadian, Japanese, Norwegian and Swiss GSP systems, which  can significantly contribute both to the growth of trade turnover  between Armenia and Kazakhstan, as well as to the expansion of names  of export-spoiled goods.

An agreement was reached on organizing the pavilion "Armenia -  Jewelry House" in Astana and in Almaty.  In addition, an agreement  was reached on rendering assistance to the companies of the two  states for their participation in exhibitions both in Armenia and in  Kazakhstan.

The sides agreed to establish ties between the regions of Armenia and  the akimats of Kazakhstan.

The next meeting of the Armenian-Kazakh intergovernmental commission  will be held in 2018 in Astana.
