ArmInfo. Haypost (ArmPost) post company will be privatized in 2018, On October 12, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies Vahan Martirosyan stated at the government session.
To note, Armenian Government today adopted project on delay of the term of concession management of the national postal company "Haypost".
As the Minister stressed, this is done in order to immediately take it out for privatization. The concession agreement expired in September 2017, will now be extended for a period of up to 6 months. After that, the government intends to transfer private business not only mail management, but also its property. Privatization is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018.
The postal consignee - "HayPost Trust Management" is a company affiliated with the Argentine billionaire of Armenian origin Eduardo Ernekian.
