AMD continues to slowly weaken against the dollar, while adjusting to strengthen to the euro

In parallel with this, the dollar and euro transactions entered the passive phase on the intra-bank foreign exchange market, along with the interest in buying up the ruble at the time when the sales dynamics came out of the downward trend to the ascending one. The exchange currency market continues to be empty.

As a result, AMD against the dollar continued to weaken slowly - from 481.8 to 482.5 AMD / $ 1, becoming strengthened to the euro - from 570 to 561 AMD / 1evro, while the ruble was revalued from 8.4 to 8.3 AMD / 1 rub. A year earlier, on October 27, 2016, the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 475.5 AMD / $ 1, to the euro - 517.5 AMD / 1evro, and to the ruble - 7.5 AMD / ruble, which, in comparison with current rates, indicates annual devaluation drama to these currencies.

According to the press service of Armenian Central Bank, the currency exchange of NASDAQ OMX Armenia is already empty for the fifth month. At the same time, the volume of transactions in the currency interbank market was $ 9 million at the weighted average rate of 482.06 AMD / $ 1 (against the previous 481.82), with a maximum volume on Tuesday - $ 4.5 million, and the minimum $ 500 thousand . "lit up" on Monday. At the same time, the trend of buying / selling the dollar in the intra-bank foreign exchange market was changed from a 0.5-3% increase to a 14.5-5% decline, buying / selling the euro changed its dynamics from 9.4-25.2% growth in the 15.1-2.4% decline, and the buying of the ruble fell from 13.1% growth to 0.1% decline in the reverse sales pattern - the yield of a 21% decline in 11, 3% growth. As a result, $ 70.9 million was purchased at the average exchange rate of 481.51 AMD / $ 1, 7.9 million euro at the average rate of 565.43 AMD / 1EUR, and 1.4 billion rubles at the average rate of 8.33 AMD / 1RUR, and sold $ 84.6 million at an average rate of 482.90 AMD / $ 1, 16.5 million euro at an average rate of 569.12 AMD / 1EUR, and 531.4 million rubles at the average rate of 8.42 AMD / 1RUR.  According to the source, over the previous week (from October 16 to 21), Armenian banks issued AMD 45.4 billion AMD and dollar loans for $ 72.2 million. Compared to the previous period (October 9-14), the dynamics of loans issued are as follows: AMD changed its trend with a 32% decline in the 22.7% increase, while the dollar slowed the growth rate from 48% to 42.4%.
