ArmInfo.In 2018-2020, "Gazprom Armenia" JSC will invest 32.4 billion AMD in the gas system of Armenia. The company's investment program was approved at a meeting of the Commission on Regulation of Public Services on December 13.
Within the framework of the investment program, it is planned to build three main gas pipelines, expand and modernize the underground gas storage in Abovyan, and increase the number of gas subscribers. In the period from 2018 to 2020, the total amount of capital expenditures will be 32.56 billion AMD, of which 28.32 billion AMD will be directed to the gas transportation system, and 4.24 billion AMD to the gas distribution system.
The aim of the investment program is to ensure conditions for uninterrupted, stable and secure gas supply through capital investments.
Gazprom JSC Armenia is a 100% subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom, ensuring the supply and sale of natural gas in the domestic market of the Republic of Armenia. As part of the Gas Transportation System (GTS), 1,682.2 km of main gas pipelines and gas outlets are serviced. As part of the gas distribution system, 14,902 km of high, medium and low pressure gas pipelines and auxiliary facilities are currently serviced.
