In the decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan adopted on the tribute, the Republic of Tatarstan is instructed to approve the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of Armenia on air communication, signed on June 14, 2017 in Yerevan.
The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan together with the relevant ministries and departments of the Republic should take the necessary measures to implement this Agreement. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan is instructed in due course to notify the Armenian side of the fulfillment by Tajikistan of the domestic procedures necessary for the entry into force of this Agreement. It should be noted that Tajik President Emomali Rahmon during an official visit to Armenia last June agreed with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to consider the possibility of launching a direct flight between the two countries. The head of the Armenian state then noted that the issue of establishing air communication "was discussed at the intersection of economy, tourism and expanding contacts between citizens of the two countries." "Within the framework of this project, we are ready to provide our Tajik friends with a set of preferences formed within the framework of the implementation of the "open sky" policy by Armenia, Sargsyan said.
During the visit of Emomali Rahmon to Armenia, a number of agreements were signed, including intergovernmental agreements on mutual visits of citizens and air traffic.
