Office of Pre-Customs Control of the Staff of the Committee on State Revenues of Armenia will be eliminated

Office of Pre-Customs Control of the Staff of the Committee on State Revenues of Armenia will be eliminated

ArmInfo. The Office of  Pre-Customs Control of the Staff of the Committee on State Revenues  of Armenia will be liquidated. The decision on this was taken at a  meeting of the Armenian government.

According to Vakhtang Mirumyan, deputy chairman of the KGB, the  authority of the department will be assigned to customs points. Thus,  Mirumyan stressed, one more attempt is being made to facilitate the  procedure for the passage of goods through customs points. In  particular, by eliminating management, conditions are created to  prevent repeated inspections of goods, which will shorten the time  for business. At the same time, risk management mechanisms are  expanding through the transfer of pre-customs control to  post-customs, during which control mechanisms will be tightened. This  initiative, Mirumyan believes, will have a significant impact on the  business environment.

Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan welcomed the initiative of the SRC,  assessing it as bold and necessary.  "We, therefore, demonstrate our  confidence in the business, giving it the maximum opportunity to move  on the border, we say that the SRC has all the necessary resources to  prevent possible offenses, a very good initiative," Karen Karapetyan  said.
