ArmInfo. Shnokh hydroelectric power station will be of great importance for Armenia's energy system. On January 13, Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Hayk Harutyunyan stated at the press conference in Yerevan, responding to the question of ArmInfo.
According to him, with a view to the construction of Shnokh HPP signed a memorandum of understanding with the American company The Robbins Company, which will make investments. With the construction of the HPP, Armenia's energy complex will receive an additional 300 million kW / h of relatively cheap electricity. Its importance is also due to the fact that in the north of the country energy capacities are much more modest than in other regions of Armenia.
