ArmInfo. With EU support the "SME- platform for business development and innovations" started in Sevan with 538 thousand EUR budget, from which 482 thousand is allocated by the EU.
Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of RA reports that the program is to be implemented within 2 years by the municipality of Sevan city and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Gegharkunik region. During the event, the Minsiter of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia David Lokyan noted that the program is aimed at support to the stable economic development of Sevan and nearby communities. Within the program, the business community is to present infrastructures, strengthen cooperation and contacts to ensure the necessary consultations and technical support.
The EU Ambassador to Armenia Piotr Switalski, the Governor of Gegharkunik Region Karen Botoyan, the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration Varazdat Karapetyan, the Mayor of Sevan Sargis Muradyan, the Project Manager Artem Grigoryan and others attended the event.
