ArmInfo. The main priorities for the development of the Armenian economy are the development of information and high technologies, tourism and agriculture. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in an interview with DW.
According to Pashinyan, the sphere of high technologies in Armenia is developing dynamically. In this context, Armenia plans to strengthen the military-industrial complex, too, because this region can become the locomotive for the entire economy of the country. Armenia, as the prime minister pointed out, hopes to develop the agricultural sector in the conditions of the introduction of the newest technologies.
Answering a question about whether he intends to fight against the oligarchs, taking into account the fact that the economy of Armenia is influenced by large capital or oligarchs, Pashinyan said: "We intend to guarantee the free expression of the will of the people, and not of any group of individuals, and if we we can create such a reality, it's up to us to decide on our own. " As Pashinyan pointed out, the new government does not intend to fight against something, but will fight for something, while guaranteeing the power of the people. In addition, as the head of the Armenian government emphasized, during the revolution the oligarchs failed to influence the political situation in the country. "Because the people took power in their hands and do not intend to let it go," he said.
