ArmInfo.In Armenia, the services sector increased volumes in January-April this year at 10.1% per annum - up to 487.1 billion AMD (over $ 1 billion), against the 10.1% growth a year earlier. As the data of the National Statistical Service of Armenia show, only in April 2018 the volume of rendered services amounted to 130.6 billion drams (over $ 271.4 million), with an increase of 0.5%.
According to statistical data, in the reporting period of 2018, service in the areas of accommodation for tourists and catering accelerated the annual growth rate from 19.1% to 25.2%, culture from 8.4% to 26.6%, healthcare from 10, 8% to 29.1%, real estate services accelerated growth from 8.8% to 9.5%, in the sphere of information and communication - from 5.5% to 7.1%, in the transport sector - from 10.2% % to 16.5%, in administrative and auxiliary activities - from 2.7% to 22.9%, in professional, scientific and technical activities - from 1.9% to 25.1%. At the same time, the slowdown in growth was recorded in the volume of financial services (including insurance) - from 18.7% to 17.8%. Revenues in the sphere of education, on the contrary, changed dynamics from a 3.6% growth to a 1.1% decline.
According to statistical data, the financial sector traditionally leads by the volume of provided services - 110.8 billion AMD (22.7% of the total volume). The second place in the volume of services is occupied by the sphere of culture, entertainment and recreation - 99.7 billion AMD (20.5% of the total volume). In the third place - the sphere of information and communication - 76.9 billion drams (15.8%), in the fourth - the sphere of transport - 63.3 billion AMD (13.1%). The five leaders are the sphere of catering and accommodation of tourists, which provided services for 28.9 billion drams (5.9%).
The average settlement rate of the AMD totaled 481.35 AMD / $ 1 in April 2018, and 481.38 AMD / $ 1 in January-April, compared to 485.14 AMD / $ 1 in April 2017 and 485.62 AMD / $ 1 in January -April 2017.
