ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia (IC) revealed the criminals who stole from the ATM "Converse Bank"15.130 million drams (over $ 31 thousand). They were Russian citizens. One is caught, he is charged. The second offender is wanted. This was reported by the press office of the Armenian IC.
As preliminary investigation revealed, the inbreak took place in Yerevan on August 17 from10:00 pm to 10:14pm in the " Yerevan City" supermarket, where this "Converse Bank" ATM was located, from which, using computer equipment, the criminal cashed and stole a large sum.
On August 18, the Criminal Investigation Committee instituted criminal proceedings on this fact, basing on the first paragraph of the third part of Article 181 of the RA Criminal Code. On August 20, a petition was submitted to the court for the applying arrest as a measure of restraint against one of them, who the IC managed to catch as a result of investigative measures, and based on evidence found with him to bring charges. The court granted the petition.
Corresponding police units were instructed to find the second offender and hand him over to the investigative authorities. In the criminal case, facts have been revealed that similar thefts took place in Yerevan and Kotayk on August 17-18, when cash was withdrawn from 8 ATMs of "Converse Bank". Preliminary investigation continues.
