ArmInfo. Pension contributions of working citizens of Armenia 10 days ago were transferred to the Central Depository with a delay of 1.5 months. This was stated by the head of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic David Ananyan on October 16 in an interview with journalists.
On the question of whether the damage incurred by the citizens of the country as a result of almost two months late will be compensated, Ananyan answered: <All money is transferred. It must be remembered that since July 1, the 5% allocated by citizens to the accumulative pension system decreased to 2.5%. When this happens, the electronic systems need to be updated, and this requires a certain time. It took us 1.5 months to do this. After the settlement of technical problems, all amounts transferred to the accounts>. Responding to the remark that according to the decision of the Constitutional Court of Armenia, technical problems should not affect the citizens, the head of the CGD said: "Let the COP then come and solve these technical problems. If a citizen wants to use his constitutional rights, then in this case it is necessary to make sure that after changes in the law there is a certain reasonable period of time for the relevant works. " Recall that from July 1, 2018, the accumulative pension system became mandatory for all Armenian citizens born after January 1, 1974. At the same time, from July 1, along with the entry into force of the mandatory component of the funded pension, Armenia revised the amount of monthly payments on them: the monthly mandatory payments from July 1 will be 2.5% of the salary (from the working citizen) instead of the early 5% . 7.5% more, but not more than 37,500 thousand drams will be added to the savings account of the participant of the system, and 450 thousand thousand drams for self-employed persons, against the early 5%, 25 thousand drams, and 300 thousand. drams, respectively. This, according to the financial authorities of the country, means that 207,000 citizens will pay for ONPS two times less. "Initiative" will cost the budget 12-15 billion drams, plus the 43 billion drams that have already been approved by the state budget for 2018. The decision, according to officials, is temporary - until the government revises income tax rates, which should be reduced (plans to revise income tax rates from 23, 28 and 35% to 20 and 25%, respectively). After that, it is possible that the government will return to the same conditions of the ONPS. After the changes came into force, the Armenian authorities stated that, although indirectly, the Armenian government temporarily raised the salary of approximately 200 thousand employees of the country by about 5,000 drams. In the meantime, many workers claim that their salaries remain the same, since many employers continue to pay wages in the same amount as a result of manipulations on the size of the estimated salary.
