ArmInfo. In 2018, a11.9% increase in passenger traffic was recorded in Armenia, the press service of "International Airports of Armenia" CJSC informs. According to the source, last year 2 million 856 thousand 673 passengers used the services of two airports in the country - Yerevan "Zvartnots" and Gyumri "Shirak", which is 11.95% more than in 2017.
At the same time, passenger traffic through the Zvartnots airport grew by 10%. If in 2017, 2,448,251 passengers traveled through the country's main airport, then a year later this figure increased to 2,690,727 passengers. In 2018, the growth of passenger traffic through the Shirak airport was 57%. Last year, Gyumri airport services were used by 165 thousand 946 people against 105 thousand 664 passengers a year earlier. In addition, in January-December 2018, the number of take-offs increased by 9.8%.
