By invitationFederal Minister of Food and Agriculture of the Federal Republic of Germany JuliaKlokner (JuliaKlockner), Acting Minister of Agriculture of  Armenia Gegham Gevorgyan together with his deputy ArtakKamalyan took  part in the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture in Berlin and the  International Exhibition of Food Industry, Agriculture and  Horticulture International Green Week (IGE 2019).

According to the press service of the ministry, during the forum,  which was attended by ministers of agriculture from 70 countries, the  participants discussed issues relating to the opportunities and  challenges associated with the use of digital technologies in  agriculture. At the same time, the participants reviewed the best  practices of using big data in different countries, etc.According to  the report, the Forum ended with the adoption of a joint communique,  in which the proposed measures were intended to be used by ministers  at the national level.In particular, the report says that Gevorgyan  held a number of meetings, including with the Georgian Minister of  Agriculture, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of  the People's Republic of China, Director General of the Food and  Agriculture Program of the United Nations and Regional Representative  and Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of  Europe.At the same time, meetings were held with representatives of  the World Bank and entrepreneurs representing the dairy industry.The  Netherlands. During the meetings, participants discussed prospects  for cooperation in the field of agriculture.
