ArmInfo. Economic entities for which the use of cash registers of a new generation has become mandatory since January 1, 2019, will receive them for only 60 thousand drams.
As Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on his Facebook page, at a meeting with David Ananyan, Chairman of the State Revenues Committee, it was decided to provide cash registers with a new generation of tax agents for 60 thousand drams ($ 120), but not for 160 thousand drams, as announced earlier. This applies to 25 thousand tax agents, for whom the availability of cash registers of a new generation has become mandatory since January 1, 2019 and which, due to lack of funds, cannot afford it.
At the same time, as the head of the Armenian government stressed, the opportunity to purchase cash registers in installments for 2 years will be retained, paying a certain amount every month. "I would especially note that the representatives of the above category (SME - Ed.) Who have already acquired cash registers at a price of 160 thousand drams will be invited to the SRC and will receive recalculation," Pashinyan said.
As the Prime Minister pointed out, in a short time the sale of business entities to the cash registers will cease to be a monopoly and, in addition to the State Non-Commercial Organization (SNCO), the "Office of the introduction of cash registers", which was created specifically for this purpose, other distributors will appear on the market, which will start offer similar equipment with similar specifications. The established technical parameters, as noted by Pashinyan, will also be revised in the near future.
To note, the use of a new-generation cash registers has become mandatory since January 1, 2019. Earlier, the Armenian government has repeatedly extended the deadlines for their implementation - first up to January 1, 2016, and then to the beginning of 2017 and 2018. But if earlier, depending on business turnovers, a differential relationship was envisaged with regard to the installation of new cash registers, today the only exception is the implementation of trade and service activities in the border area.
Meanwhile, many representatives of SMEs stated that new cash registers in Armenia are sold at a price several times higher than similar goods in Georgia. But according to the assurances of the head of the SRC David Ananyan, these devices are sold at cost, which, as he stated earlier, is equal to 158 thousand drams. If so, then the question arises, at the expense of which reserves, after Pashinyan's conversation with his minister, did the sales price of the new cash register be reduced by almost a third? This is not reported.
