ArmInfo.The four telecom operators of Armenia in Q12022 reduced tax payments to the state treasury by 4% per annum - to 7.1 billion drams. In particular, 92.4 million drams were paid on customs duties during the reporting period, 1.6 billion drams on direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax), and 3.3 billion drams on indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax). This is evidenced by the list of the largest 1000 taxpayers in Armenia published by the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
In this list, according to the results of the first quarter of this year, telecom operators ranked as follows: MTS Armenia (trademark VivaCell-MTS) - 11th place (against 6th a year earlier), UCom - 16th place (against 12th a year earlier), Telecom CJSC Armenia (trademark TEAM) - 34th place (against 36th a year earlier), GNC Alpha (trademark Rostelecom) - 134th place (against 124th a year earlier). "MTS Armenia" (trade mark VivaCell-MTS) transferred 2.9 billion drams to the state treasury for the reporting quarter (with a y-o-y decline of 17.1%), of which 111 thousand - for customs duties, 737.4 million - for direct taxes ( including profit tax, income tax), 1.4 billion - for VAT. UCom transferred 2.4 billion drams to the tax budget in Q1 2022 (with 20% y-o-y growth), of which 13.7 million - for customs duties, 448.6 million - for direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax) and 1.02 billion - for VAT.
"Telecom Armenia" (trademark TEAM) transferred 1.4 billion drams to the budget through taxes during the reporting period (with y-o-y growth of 18.2%), of which 74.2 million - for customs duties, 305.9 million - for direct taxes and 734.7 million - for VAT. GNC Alpha (trademark Rostelecom) paid 430.5 million drams to the tax budget for the first quarter (with a 5.4% y-o-y growth), of which 4.5 million - for customs duties, 150 million - for direct taxes (including profit tax, income tax) and 248.5 million - for indirect taxes (including VAT, excise tax).
It should be noted that in Q1 2021, the four largest telecom operators in total paid 7.4 billion drams to the state budget through taxes, with a y-o-y growth of 8.6%. At that time, the companies were listed in the same sequence: MTS Armenia (trademark VivaCell-MTS), UCom, Telecom Armenia (trademark TEAM), GNC Alpha (trademark Rostelecom).
