ArmInfo.After consultations, the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) expect to sign agreements on the formation of common markets for gas, oil and oil products. After the meeting of the heads of government of the EAEU countries, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk told reporters.
"Consultations continue on the text of the agreement on a common gas market, as well as on the agreement on the text of an agreement on common markets for oil and petroleum products. We hope that we will be able to sign these documents after appropriate consultations," he said.
The Russian Deputy Prime Minister, referring to the statement of the participants in the meeting of the Intergovernmental Council, noted that the path chosen by the EAEU countries, which involves the conclusion of long-term gas contracts, allows the allied states to feel comfortable and achieve a balance of interests of gas suppliers and consumers.
