ArmInfo.Armenia and the Netherlands discussed new opportunities for cooperation in the technological field and the implementation of agreements within the framework of cooperation in this direction. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of High- Tech Industry, referring to the results of the meeting between head of the department Robert Khachatryan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Armenia Nicholas Schermers.
According to the source, Robert Khachatryan presented to the guest the Ministry's steps towards digitalization, noting that the government attaches particular importance to the development of this direction and the widespread use of digital technologies in various sectors of the economy. The minister also said that a digitalization strategy for 2021-2025 had been developed and adopted.
Nicholas Schermers, in turn, presented the Dutch experience in the field of digitalization, the E- commercialization (electronic commerce) program, which was implemented in Armenia in 2021 by the Embassy of the Netherlands in Armenia and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). He stressed that the program aims to identify the potential and opportunities of the Armenian ICT sector.
It is reported that the parties discussed the presented programs and agreed to hold a working meeting in the near future in order to more substantively discuss the issues raised and approaches to cooperation.
