ArmInfo. Krisp co-founder Artavazd Minasyan and WEB co- founder Albert Toneyan became  independent members of the Board of Directors of the telecommunications company of Team Telecom Armenia, reported in the company's press release received by ArmInfo.

From now on, experienced professionals who have implemented  successful projects in the field of IT and telecommunications will  participate in the development of the company's strategic projects  and corporate governance.

Alexandr Yesayan heads the Board of Directors of Team Telecom  Armenia, Hayk Yesayan and Aram Barseghyan are members, and Artavazd  Minasyan and Albert Toneyan are independent members of the company.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Team Telecom Armenia Alexandr  Yesayan noted that the involvement of independent members at such a  symbolic stage for the company is a step towards transparent work and  multilevel review of strategic plans.  <I am glad that our team is  replenished with specialists who have experience in successfully  implementing large-scale projects both in the international and local  markets. In turn, Artavazd Minasyan stated that the company is of strategic  importance for the development of the economy and the creation of  critical infrastructures. <I am sure that with my participation I can  become a bridge between the Team and the high-tech community>, he  emphasized. 

Albert Toneyan, speaking about his motives in the context of  involvement in the Board of Directors, noted that he intends to  introduce his many years of experience in telecom to the team and  bring bold ideas to set new benchmarks and achieve excellent results.

According to the source, Artavazd Minasyan is a candidate of physical  and mathematical sciences, co- founder of Krisp and 10 WEB companies,  Managing partner of BigStory venture fund. He managed to raise $32  million in capital. Minasyan is also involved in public activities,  is a member of the Board of Trustees of Union of Advanced Technology  Enterprises (UATE)  and Ayb Educational Foundation. Albert Toneyan is  a candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, co-founder and  director of WEB, which is one of the first Internet providers.  Toneyan - Vice-Chair of "Internet Society" NGO, President of the  ArmIX Foundation and member of the RA Internet Governance Council.

According to experts, the attraction of independent members of the  Board of Directors to the company is aimed at strengthening the  corporate governance system of the company,  which held its initial  public offering (IPO) in early June this year. According to the  company's information, the issue amounted to 40 million shares with a  total volume of 8 billion 240 million drams. The company plans to use  the funds raised to expand the NGN network throughout Armenia, launch  a 5G mobile network and activate new international channels. It  should be noted that Team Telecom Armenia provides Internet, digital  television, mobile and fixed communication services in Armenia. Since  2021, the company has begun building a unique NGN (Next Generation  Network) network in the region with a speed of 25 Gbps using 25G-PON  technology.
