ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan announced a new record for the number of registered jobs.
"According to October of this year. In terms of the number of registered jobs, we have a new record - we have exceeded the figure of 730 thousand," he said on November 23 at a government meeting.
According to him, since May 2018, about 183 thousand new jobs have been created in the Republic of Armenia. The dynamics of the Armenian economy suggests that the trend will not only continue, but will also intensify due to the involvement of compatriots from Artsakh in the labor market, the prime minister believes.
According to Statistical Data, the unemployment rate in Armenia decreased in the second quarter of 2023 from 13.7% to 11.7%, being lower than last year's 13% for the same period in 2022. The employment rate in the country increased in the second quarter of 2023 from 50.9% to 53.9% (versus 51.2% for the same period in 2022). As of July 1, 2023, the number of employees exceeded 1,211,400 (with an annual growth of 7.2%), and the unemployed as of the reporting date numbered 160.7 thousand people (with an annual decline of 10.5%).
