ArmInfo. The Ministry of Finance intends to delegate the powers of management, accounting, storage, alienation, sale, purchase of precious metals and stones stored in state and national reserves to other government agencies, Armenia's Deputy Minister of Finance Eduard Hakobyan stated at a meeting of the Committee on Economic Affairs, RA Parliament.
In particular, in order to more effectively manage precious metals and stones, the Ministry of Finance will transfer processes related to the state reserve to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, or rather to the State Property Management Committee. And the Ministry of Finance finds it expedient to delegate processes related to precious metals and stones stored in the national reserve, which, as a rule, are exhibited in various museums, to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports.
All these processes, according to the deputy minister, will entail a number of legislative changes. In particular, amendments will be made to the RA Law on Precious Metals, on the structure of government and on the management of state property.
The commission approved the proposed bill in the first reading.
