ArmInfo. On December 21, the Armenian government approved the draft decision on recognition as an exclusive, priority state interest in some territories near the Lalvar and Noyemberyan transmission lines located in the administrative borders of the Tavush and Lori regions of Armenia. "These high-voltage transmission lines, with a capacity of 110 kV, are designed to ensure reliability and quality of power supply in the northern regions of Armenia," said Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Ashot Manukyan.

The Cabinet also approved the draft agreement on assistance from the government and on the invitation to participate in the procurement procedure.

ArmInfo. Electricity production in Armenia in Jan-Oct 2017 amounted to 5991.4 million kWh, with an annual growth of 5.4% (against a decline of 6.3% a year earlier).  Only in October energy generation decreased by 8.7% to 567.8 million kWh.

ArmInfo. The Russian group  of companies Tashir is interested in the construction of the Meghri  hydropower plant on the border with Iran. ArmInfo. Gazprom Armenia company holds first place in the list of 1000 largest taxpayers of the country, paying 32.2 billion AMD to the state budget for January- September 2017, with an annual growth of 8.1%. According to the published data of the RA State Revenue Committee, in the reporting period, the five leaders paid 102.3 billion AMD to the state budget through taxes, exceeding the list of last year's leading five by 17.5%.
