ArmInfo. The Kapan Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise, a member of the Polymetal International plc group of companies, produced 527,000 tonnes in 12 months of 2017 and processed 530,000 tonnes of ore. Only in the IV quarter of the volume of production amounted to 140 thousand tons, processing volumes -141 thousand tons. At the same time, production exceeded the indicator for the same period last year by 33%, processing - by 24%. This is stated in the company's report on the production results of the fourth quarter of 2017.

ArmInfo. Polymetal was the winner in the environmental responsibility rating of the mining and metallurgical companies of Russia, annually prepared by the initiative of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the UNDP/GEF/MNPR project. The company has divided the ranking in the rating with the Russian subdivision of the Canadian gold mining company Kinross Gold. The group of companies , the leading diamond miner in Yakutia and the Arkhangelsk region, retained the third place. In total the ecological rating of 2017 included 33 largest mining and metallurgical companies operating in Russia.

ArmInfo. We met  Vitaliy Nesis, Chief Executive Officer of Polymetal, one of the leading precious metals mining companies in the post-Soviet space, for an interview in the resort town of Jermuk, where the 2nd stage of the Junior Grand Prix tournament of the European Chess Championship union was held during the period of  October 3 - October 16, under the sponsorship of the company.  The company of Polymetal was founded in 1998 and during  19 years has taken a sustainable   position in the geological exploration, design, construction and commissioning of mining enterprises, carrying out the full range of work on the development of ore deposits - from exploration to operation. In 2015, Polymetal acquired its first asset in Armenia - Lichkvaz CJSC,  with the right of subsoil use in respect  to the gold deposit of Lichkvaz-Tey. In April 2016, the company also acquired   Kapan Mining and Processing Plant from  Canadians,  which is operated for  processing  the Shahumyan  deposit ore. Only this year, the volume of investments of  Polymetal made in the modernization and expansion of production will form  $ 15 million. 

ArmInfo. The Kapan Mining and Processing Combine, part of the Polymetal International plc group of companies, processed 389,000 tons of ore over 9 months of 2017.  Only in the III quarter the processing volumes were 143  thousand tons against 116 thousand tons for the same period last year. This is stated in the company's report on the production results of the third quarter of 2017.

ArmInfo. The volume of  investments of the group of companies Polymetal International plc in  KAPAN MINING AND PROCESSING ENTERPRISE   for the first half of 2017  was $ 13 million. Investments were mainly related to the purchase of  equipment for underground mining and exploration in the vicinity of  the existing field, including drilling at the Lichkvaz-Teyskoye  field.

ArmInfo. Claims of Miram CJSC for the start of geological exploration at the Shekabyur polymetallic deposit are illegal. According to the authoritative state structures of Armenia, Miram, which started work near the village of Ardvi, Lori region, does not have the necessary credentials.

Only in the second quarter the processing volumes were 132 thousand tons against 64 thousand tons for the same period last year.
