ArmInfo. In Armenia, in the first half of 2018, 3,852.8 million kWh electricity was produced, with annual growth of 1.5%. According to the National Statistical  Service of the Republic of Armenia, in June alone, electricity  generation increased by 7.8% to 615.1 million kWh.

ArmInfo. Ardshinbank partners with International Investment Bank to support the imports of high-tech equipment to Armenia for small hydropower plants from the Czech Republic and Bulgaria. In total EUR 5 million of import transactions are being financed by the Bank through the IIB’s Trade Finance Support Programme.

ArmInfo. In 2018 the company Contour Global Hydro Cascade invests 1.680bln AMD (without VAT) in modernization of the Vorotan cascade of HPPs belonging to it.  The decision was taken at a meeting of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia, which approved the company's investment program for 2018 on May 8.

ArmInfo. Electricity generation  in Armenia in the first quarter of 2018 amounted to 2 109.7 million  kWh, with an annual growth of 0.4%, against growth of 9.3% a year  earlier. Only in March the decline was registered by 9.6% to 607.5  million kWh.

ArmInfo. The Mejlis of Iran at a meeting on April 18 by 162 votes in favor, 5 against and 5 abstentions approved a bill on the construction of a hydroelectric power station on the Araks River. This is reported by the Armenian Embassy in Iran.

On April 4, Deputy Minister of  Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia Hayk  Harutyunyan stated at a meeting with journalists. Thus, as  Harutyunyan pointed out, thermal and gas stations will work for  export.

ArmInfo. Electricity production in Armenia in January-February 2018 amounted  to 1502.2 million kWh, with an annual growth of 3.5%, against growth  of 10.4% a year earlier. Only in February, a decline of 19% was  registered to 672.2 million kWh.

ArmInfo. Armenia has defined the  criteria for assessing the environmental impact in the construction  and operation of small hydroelectric power plants. The relevant  resolution was approved at a government meeting on March 1.
