Ruben Khachatryan, Areximbank Deputy Director General told ArmInfo the share of Visa International cards in total was 90% or 16,022 cards growing 9.4% versus 2008. The number of plastic cards MasterCard issued by the bank till the end of 2009 totaled 1730 falling 6.2% versus 2008. R. Khachatryan said the bank installed 20 new ATMs in 2009. At present the bank serves 42 ATMs (16 in regions and 26 in Yerevan). The bank going to offer a new service to its cardholders i.e. payment for communal services through ATMs, he said. As of January 1 2010, Areximbank - Gazprombank Group served 89 POS-terminals. The bank joined VISA International in 2002 and MasterCard in 2005. The bank serves the plastic cards through its own processing center.
