Ameria Group advocates joining efforts to help kids with cancer and blood diseases


ArmInfo. Ameria Group held a Christmas Charity Event on December 21, 2010, at Tigran Mets Hall, Armenia Marriott Hotel. Ameriabank organized a New Year and Christmas exhibit-sale and auction of children's paintings and artwork dedicated to '100 years in your eyes', 'Donate life' and 'Armenian fairy tale' topics. All the proceeds raised at the exhibition-sale will be divided into equal portions and directed to medical treatment of 13 kids who are currently treated for serious diseases and need financial support.

A total of 15,871,700 AMD were raised from the exhibition-sale and donations, 2,128,300 AMD more was allocated by Ameria Group. The total amount (18 mln AMD) will be equally distributed among 13 kids. The press service of Ameriabank told ArmInfo that this year Ameria Group has already transferred over 3.6 mln AMD to treatment of 4 kids. Ameria Group top-management has decided to donate the funds initially intended for traditional Christmas and New Year gifts to the children with cancer and blood disorders.

Calls and visits to Ameriabank aimed at supporting these children continue. All the persons and organizations wishing to make their contribution to the fight for the kids' lives can transfer money to the special account 15700 38410778000 at Ameriabank. One can learn about the specified 13 kids by calling Ameriabank by the telephone number 561111. In January 2011 Ameriabank will present a report on the funds provided to each of these kids and the process of their treatment. In 2010 the bank allocated about 15- 20 mln AMD to the orphanages it cooperates with.

To note, in Armenia over 100 children with cancer and blood disorders need help today.

To recall, the majority shareholder of Ameriabank is TDA Holdings Limited affiliated with Troika Dialog, with 99.99% share participation.
